How we handle your personal data
We collect as little personal data as possible. This website has no forms, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking, and it loads no content from other websites.
Who is responsible
The website is run by ACCELERAS KG, Rauhensteingasse 7/18, 1010 Vienna, Austria, on behalf of the CAFÉ+ consortium. ACCELERAS KG also coordinates the project. Email: contact@thecafeplus.eu.
What we collect, why, and on what legal basis
- Emails you send us: when you write to us — for example with a question, or to ask for news about new resources — we receive your email address, your name if you give it, and your message. We use them only to answer you and, if you ask for it, to tell you about new CAFÉ+ resources. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering your enquiry (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and, for news by email, your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.
- Technical data: when you visit the website, our hosting provider’s servers process your IP address, the date and time, the page requested and your browser type in server log files, to deliver the website and keep it secure. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a secure, working website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
The website itself does not count visits, does not record which pages you read and stores nothing in your browser.
How long we keep it
Emails: as long as needed to answer your request and, where they are part of the project’s records, for as long as the EU grant rules require us to keep those records. If you asked for news by email, we keep your address until you ask us to stop. Server log files are deleted by the hosting provider after a short period.
Who we share it with
Your emails reach the project team at ACCELERAS KG. Emails to contact@thecafeplus.eu are received by our email provider, Hostinger International Ltd., and forwarded to the team’s mailbox, which Google Ireland Limited (Google Workspace) runs on our behalf; data may be transferred to the United States under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Where needed to answer your request, we share your message with the CAFÉ+ partner organisations. Our hosting provider, Hostinger International Ltd., 61 Lordou Vironos Street, 6023 Larnaca, Cyprus, processes the server log data on our behalf under a data processing agreement. We do not sell personal data or use it for advertising.
Your rights
You can ask for access to your data, its correction or deletion, restrict or object to its use, ask for a copy of it, and withdraw your consent at any time, with effect for the future. Write to contact@thecafeplus.eu. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority — in Austria, the Datenschutzbehörde (dsb.gv.at ↗).
No cookies
This website does not set any cookies, does not use analytics and stores nothing in your browser, so there is no cookie banner.
Fonts, images and all other files are served from this website itself — there are no requests to Google Fonts or other outside services. Links to other websites, such as the partners' websites, only take you there when you click them.
Accessibility statement
We want everyone to be able to use this website. It aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA: it can be used with a keyboard and screen readers, works on small screens, uses sufficient colour contrast, and describes images with text alternatives.
Known limitations
- The website is available in English only for now. Versions in the partner languages — German, Czech, Finnish, Greek, Romanian and Spanish — will follow.
- Some linked documents on other websites, such as EU and OECD reports, may not be fully accessible. If you need the content in another format, please contact us and we will help.
Feedback
If you find a barrier, please tell us at contact@thecafeplus.eu. We will reply as soon as we can.
